Why this journey began…
There is a growing disconnect between our inner capabilities and the developments of our VUCA world. Very few of us have actively learned how to deal with setbacks, change, uncertainty, and uncomfortable feelings, and are therefore unable to cope with the increasingly complex environment and challenges inside and outside of work. This not only leads to personal hardship but also to a massive loss of productivity.
At the same time, corporate training has hardly changed in the last decades. 85% of self-paced learners do not complete their online courses and in a hybrid world, classroom training is expensive, cumbersome, and often fails to produce lasting behavior change. Continuous "learning by doing" is the key to success, but is is rarely integrated into our daily work routine.
In today's world, more than ever before, we need resilient, compassionate, and courageous people that dare to jump despite the fear, change despite the challenges, innovate despite the failures, and collaborate despite conflict.
At Lemony we aim to give individuals the space they need at work to learn, grow and inspire each other. The result? People living more meaningful, self-determined and joyful lives while their individual transformation fuels organisational and societal change.
Our values
Our values are our compass that guides us in the right direction. They create a buffer zone that even when things are hard, allow us to mobilise our strength and keep going. With our values in mind we walk towards what matters most and focus on HOW we get there rather than on the end result.

Being courageous does not mean we are not afraid but taking the step despite of the fear. Those who dare to try new things will sometimes fall flat on their face, that is normal. We take responsibility for our mistakes, apologise and learn from them. We ask for what we need and tackle difficult issues, even if it is uncomfortable. We are actively curious even if this means that we have to revise a formed opinion. We lean into joy with an open heart despite the frighting vulnerability that accompanies it. Courage is contagious and we inspire others with our attitude.

We believe that every individual should have equal opportunities with the right skills to make the most out of their lives and talents. That is why Lemony targets all individuals within an organisation, regardless of rank, background or activities. We do not believe in traditional hierarchies and treat everyone on equal footing. We accept other people’s opinion that might not be our own with an open mind. That does not mean we agree but we do not judge. We actively work on our known and unconscious biases and speak our truth regardless of the consequences. At Lemony we aim to work towards a fairer and more equal world.

We live in a culture that only wants to talk about what's going well. At Lemony we do not see uncomfortable feelings, hardship, loss, and pain as a detour from the main road but as part of the road we walk as humans. We are here for the good times and bad times, we laugh together, cry together and celebrate those moments that go right and wrong by normalising the bittersweet. Because there is no courage without fear, no change without challenges, no innovation without failure, no collaboration without conflict and no inclusion without difference.

Compassion is a practice based in the bittersweetness of our shared humanity and the most effective approach to meaningful connection. It is not about fixing a person, challenge or situation. At Lemony we see ourselves in other peoples’ shoes and walk with them on their journey. But we don’t only practice compassion towards others but especially towards ourselves by embracing self-kindness and forgiving ourselves for our mistakes and human imperfections.
